Successful completion of the projects funded by Romanian Embassy for informing Armenian and Azerbaijanian communities in Georgia
The Embassy of Romania in Tbilisi, in capacity of NATO Contact Point Embassy in Georgia (CPE), had support financially two NATO public diplomacy projects for better information of the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities in Georgia. The projects have been implemented by Akhalkalaki Information Center and Marneuli Youth Center, in close cooperation with the Information Center on the EU and NATO from Georgia.
The project, implemented by the Marneuli Youth Center, had concluded on 14 January 2015 by awarding the winners of interschool debate on NATO-Georgia topics and the most active participants from Kvemo-Kartli region. At the awarding ceremony, the representative of the Romanian Embassy (as NATO CPE), the head of Administration of Marneuli Municipality, the representative of the Government in Kvemo-Kartli region, head of department coordinating Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia Office of the State Minister for Integration, Deputy Director of the EU Information Centre NATO and director of the Marneuli Youth Center presented addresses.
The project entitled: “European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Georgia” was implemented by the Akhalkalaki Information Center and envisioned better informion of the Armenian community from Akhaltsihi and Akhalkalaki towns of in Georgia, being covered by regional Media.
